COVER LETTER

Dear H.R Manager and whom it may concern, I wish to apply for the position of QLD Rugby Participation Officer. My family and I are looking at moving to Cairns to be close to family and I was notified of the position and believe it is perfect for me. I strongly believe I have the passion, maturity, rugby knowledge and empathy required for a role such as this. I wish to be as involved as possible in far north QLD rugby. I started playing rugby before I went to school and have always dreamed of a career if the sport. Over the past 15 years since finishing school at St Patrick’s College in Shorncliffe Brisbane I have been working in sales and management in a variety of industries including the fitness industry. The skills I have learnt in these positions translate perfectly to this role in the form of my people management skills and my ability to relate and effectively communicate with people. From a rugby point of view I played through school and continued to play for various premier clubs in Brisbane, Suburban clubs in Brisbane, in the Ireland 2nd division and currently in premier Central Otago Comp in New Zealand. I have a passion for the game and in particular coaching as 4 years ago I completed smart rugby at the reds and I have assisted with coaching and mentoring most teams I have been associated with since. My Sister is a teacher in Yarrabah which gives me a connection with the community already. I would love the opportunity to be interviewed for the role as I truly believe I would achieve great results and know I am the perfect fit for the Reds. I hope to hear from you soon,

Sincerely

Wade David Munro
