Warden of Ordinands During the year Revd Canon Leigh Richardson took on this role of Warden of Ordinands from Ven Dennis Wight. Over the course of the year candidates were sent to the Provincial and Regional Discernment panels. Two stipendiary students were enrolled in St Michael’s College from the Diocese in September 2015 and six students began training for the Non Stipendiary Ministry (Local). The great joy of 2015 were the ordinations of deacons and priests. Such is the change here that we saw the ordinations over two days, with those ordained priest on the Saturday and those made deacon on the Sunday in our Cathedral Church. 26 in all! Much of 2015 was spent working through the future of St Michael’s College and training for future ministers if the church. The New St Padarn’s Institute began to look for a new principal and our Director of Ministry was appointed to the new Council. This heralds a new integrated partnership for the whole province. We are very grateful to the Assistant Warden of Ordinands – Revd Canon Paul Mackness for his administration skills and particularly for stepping in at very short notice to lead the ordination retreat.
