Geno’s Garage - Warranty Clarification and Considerations
Congratulations on your purchase of the Diesel Performance Products (F.A.S.S.) Pump. This geardriven pump has proven to be a much more reliable design than the stock, rotary-vane style pump. Because of the reliability of the gerator pump, the manufacturer, Diesel Performance Products, Inc., has provided long-term warranty coverage - 4 years for the DDRP and lifetime for the HPFP and F.A.S.S. Although the pumps have long-term warranties, there may be times that the purchaser feels the pump is not operating properly. We have included a technical guide for fuel transfer pump troubleshooting. Please refer to this guide to determine if the pump is actually faulty or if the problem may be with one of the other components of the fuel system. Please read the following information regarding warranty coverage carefully: Geno’s Garage warranty coverage will be limited to repair or replacement of the pump by Diesel Performance Products, Inc. (manufacturer). This will require the purchaser to return the faulty pump to Geno’s Garage. Geno’s Garage will then forward the pump to the manufacturer for bench testing, and repair or replacement. Should you have a need to return a FASS product for warranty support, please contact Geno’s Garage for a pre-paid return label and authorization to return the pump. Important: this process may leave you without a fuel pump during the transit time. You may have to temporarily reinstall your factory pump during this period. We realize this is an awkward process. And while we will attempt to have reconditioned swing units to aid in warranty situations, we cannot guarantee that a swing unit will be available. Therefore, if you do not feel comfortable with this procedure, do not install the FASS pump. You may return it (uninstalled) along with all installation hardware, instructions, and warranty paperwork (in new, re-saleable condition) for a full refund. Once the pump is installed, however, a refund cannot be provided. After installation, warranty coverage is limited to repair or replacement at the discretion of Diesel Performance Products, Inc. (manufacturer).
