Water Conservation and Drought Ordinance Overview • Outlines the City’s rules to “protect the environment and limited regional water sources through the effective management and conservation of the public water supply” • Last amended in 2012 • Required to resubmit to the TWDB every 5 years

Water Plan Requirements • Water Conservation Utility Profile: evaluation of system; customer classifications • 5 & 10 year targets for water savings and water loss program • Schedule and method for tracking implementation of targets • Master metering to measure and account for water;
Water Plan Requirements • Meter management plan for testing, repair, and replacement • Method to measure and manage water loss (periodic evaluation of system for leaks, illegal connections, etc.) • Repair and maintenance program to minimize water loss
