Watersmeet Township Planning Commission August 10, 2016 Regular Meeting Minutes Location: USFS Conference Room
Meeting called to order by Chairman Jeff Zelinski at 6:40 p.m. Pledge of Allegiance was given. Roll Call: Members Present: Jeff Zelinski, giiwegiizhigookway Martin, Jeff Wasson, Michelle Hazen, Pete Peterson, John Cestkowski, Roy D’Antonio Members Absent: Rich Henriksen, and David Sherrill. Approval of Agenda: Motion by Michelle Hazen to approve the agenda, and 2nd by Roy D’Antonio to approve the agenda. All in favor. Approved. Approval of Minutes of April, 2016. Motion made by Jeff Wasson to approve, 2nd by Pete Peterson, All in favor. Approved. Approval of Minutes of May, 2016. Motion made by Jeff Wasson to approve, 2nd by Michelle Hazen, All in favor. Approved. Approval of Minutes of June, 2016. Motion made by Pete Peterson to approve the minutes 2nd by John Cestkowski, All in favor. Approved. Master Plan Updates: Jeff Zelinski has been busy, was able to meet with Frank Kruchevar but an organized meeting has not taken place. Discussion on the changes, and the Committee that was appointed will meet Thursday evening August 198th at the Forest Service Admin Building to work on the changes. Jeff doesn’t think it will take too long. Julie has agreed to help, but Peggy Tuttle has declined at this time. Rec Plan Updates: Tabled – Michelle Hazen brought a copy of Marenisco Rec Plan that they had done. The board thanked Michelle Hazen for getting the copy of the Marenisco Plan. It is a very good plan and includes the necessary items for a good plan, and is more tailored for a small community such as Watersmeet. It is a very nice, well put together plan. Copies were distributed to all members to review. Tabled until the Master Plan is taken care of. Zoning Administrator’s Report: Dave Neumann stated that he had 1 dock, 3 garages, 1 dwelling, and 2 additions that he is working on. He is now working on at least (6) violations. One being the boat house on East Bay. New Building Permit at Clearwater Lake has been applied for. Public Comment: Mike Rogers – Checking Credentials on Medical Marijuana Permits and more thorough follow process. Steve Roth: Comments on Medical Marijuana.
