WBF MISSION OFFICE Serving local churches and their missionaries

February 27, 2017 Dear Co-laborers, The month of February has been a busy month here at the Mission Office. As we mentioned in our previous letter, one of our mission houses needs extensive repairs due to some water pipes in the attic that burst. We have opted to do some of the work ourselves to save some of the insurance check we received so that we might have extra funds for other updates that are needed in that house. We want to say a BIG THANK YOU to some folks from Pleasantview Baptist Church here in Arlington who helped with some demolition as well as a big garage sale to move out extra furniture and other items that have accumulated over the years. We would also like to thank missionary John Horton for his help in hanging some of the sheetrock for the ceiling, and my brother-in-law Philip Ayer for helping to hang more sheetrock and for taking care of some electrical work that needed to be done. We should be able to finish hanging the remainder of the sheetrock this week, at which point we will pay someone to finish and texture the walls and ceiling, and will then bring in someone to begin laying the new floor. When we get closer to finishing this project, we will let folks know how much extra funds we will need to raise for the extra updates. We have already had some very nice furniture donated to replace the old furniture. Praise the Lord! If you would like to contribute any funds to this project, you may send your contribution marked “Mission House Repairs.” Thank you for your help! This week we are also upgrading to a new computer for our accounting system. Very soon, you should be seeing a new look to the receipts that are sent to our contributors. The new receipts will consist of one page which includes a lower portion to be detached and sent back with your next contribution. We should also be able to email the receipts in a more efficient, automated way. If you have any questions with changes we make, please let us know! During the month of February, retired missionary Charlene Neill went home to be with the Lord after a lengthy battle with Parkinson’s Disease. We certainly rejoice for Charlene, as she is home with her Lord as well as Bro. Mel Neill, and is no doubt being rewarded for her labor. And yet we are reminded of the great need for more servants to “step up” and be sent to the mission field. Please pray with us that the Lord would send more laborers into His harvest. THANK YOU for supporting WBF missionaries and for supporting our general fund. We pray God would continue to bless you richly for what you give. Thanks for ALL you do!
