Gather your family and friends from the community and come out to help us host a festival for the refugee community on the Northside of Syracuse built around the championship game of their first summer soccer league. There aren’t many people around you who understand the pain your divorce has caused. It helps to know that you are not alone. DivorceCare is a 13 week Biblically based DVD seminar/support group program designed to help heal the hurt of separation/divorce and encourage a deeper reliance on the Lord. Wednesday nights, Aug. 24 - Nov. 16 from 7-9pm in The Studio. For more info, contact Dedie at 655.9580 or visit the booth in the Foyer.
Eagle Wings Academy
Eagle Wings Academy (on the Southside of Syracuse) is seeking individuals to commit to volunteering one 1/2 day or whole day each week for this school year. This would involve working individually or in small groups with students; helping the teachers with classroom preparations; assisting during lunch times; possibly chaperoning on field trips. If you are interested, please call the school office at 396-0024 for more information and to receive an application (which requires a background check which Grace Baptist will submit).
