–McAllen Veterans Memorial Stadium.
Our signature stadium, in existence circa the 1970’s, has undergone a much needed face lift through a unique partnership between The City of McAllen and the McAllen Independent School District. D. Wilson Construction spearheaded the multi-million dollar project that includes new underground utilities and stadium field lighting, upgraded locker rooms, the addition of more spacious ADA access and seating, an increase in size and number of restrooms, and a complete concession area makeover. Discus and shot put areas were updated, along with the installation of new perimeter fencing and field turf. The city commission pledged $3 million from sales taxes and the school district pitched in another $2 million to complete Phase I of this amazing stadium makeover!
