The goal of this webinar is give faculty members an overview of the White Paper. We address the main concerns that many educators have regarding the digital age of teaching and introduce the best practices in this area.

This webinar focuses on the pedagogical concepts that apply to all forms of course delivery. This includes exploring basic principles that apply to class planning, core instructional activities, and student feedback and motivation.

Dr. Barry Sugarman currently serves as Vice President, Strategic Planning and Product Initiatives of the Educational Product, Technology, and Innovation team in the Laureate Network Office. Barry has over 20 years of experience in the higher education, electronic publishing, and technology sectors. Dr. Sugarman completed his Ph.D. in Education at Columbia University, his MBA in Market Research at Pace University, and his BA in Psychology at University of Rochester.

Dr. Sue Subocz currently works as Executive Director of Digital Strategy, Design, and Development for Laureate Education. In this effort, she strives to bring forward her experiences working with students and faculty in her previous roles as professor of mathematics and physics, academic department chair, and vice president of academic affairs. Sue is passionate about bringing learning opportunities to those who - like herself during her many years serving in the U.S. Coast Guard – might not be able to achieve their educational goals in traditional settings.

The Universe of Digital Teaching & Learning: What does Laureate Mean by Hybridity? Presented by: Paula Singer Wednesday, December 9, 2015 09:00 AM (Eastern Time) English This session describes Laureate definitions, standards, objectives and metrics around Hybridity. Paula Singer is the Executive Officer (CEO) of Laureate Global Products and Services. She earned a BS in Education from the University of Connecticut. Ms. Singer has served in a number of senior leadership roles since joining Laureate Education, Inc. (formerly Sylvan Learning Systems, Inc.) in 1993, including leadership of all Laureate online postsecondary businesses and the company’s entry into the postsecondary education market with the acquisition of Canter & Associates in 1997.
