7 Keeping the Enemy at Bay – Cybercrime Offense, and Legal and PR Defense Gershwin I – 4th Floor The cost of cybercrime is estimated to reach $6 trillion annually by 2021. This session will discuss the current cyber security legal landscape and its application to the payment industry, as well as practical strategies for investigating, remediating, and reporting cyber-events. Our speaker panel from government and private industry will drill down on how anti-money laundering units and in-house cybersecurity units can effectively collaborate and how financial institutions can share cyber-related information, including IP addresses, specific malware signatures and indicators of compromise, with other financial institutions to protect the industry writ large.
