Weekend Recap October 24th-25th
USSDA- the DA was visited by Players Development Academy (PDA) this past Saturday at Howison Park. PDA opened the game with an early goal not much after PWSI answered with a PK to make it 1-1 PDA struck again to make it 2-1 before heading in to halftime. PWSI just couldn’t find their rhythm in the 2nd half and ended up falling to PDA 5-1. They will travel this weekend to North Carolina for the USSDA Showcase.
Courage Girls 99 White- this year we had two teams who were crowned VYSA President Cup Champions and the Courage Girls 99 White were one of them. They started off their quest to the President Cup Title by going the distance and defeating Beach FC Girls 99 Black 21 in PK’s. They then played Sunday morning 10:00am against a strong Braddock Rd team and ended the game 2-1 to be crowned Presidents Cup Champions.
Courage Boys 01 White- The second team that were crowned President Cup Champions were the Courage Boys 01 White. The boys started off their quest to a 2nd straight President Cup Title in the semifinal on Saturday with a 1-0 win over FCSC United Black to move on to the final on Sunday. Fresh off a semifinal win the day before the boys were back on Sunday ready to make it 2 straight Presidents Cup Titles and they did just that in dramatic fashion winning 1-0 in PK’s against PAC Elite 01 Navy.
Courage Boys 04 Red- the boys went 2-0 on the weekend dominating by outscoring both opponents 17-3 they have 2 more league games left this fall season as they currently sit in 4th place in Virginia NPL.
Courage Boys 97 Red- the 97 boys still sit at the top of the table with a 2-0 win against Richmond Strikers this past Sunday. With 3 games remaining they look to finish the fall season strong.
Courage Girls 01 Red- the 01 girls currently sit 3rd in the standings in NPL. They added another win to their column as they took on Annandale Boys and Girls Club this past weekend and won 8-0. With 3 games remaining the girls look to continue their winning ways in league play.
Courage Girls 02 Red- the 02 girls continued their undefeated season notching 2 more wins while allowing no goals this past weekend. Saturday they took on Annandale Boys and Girls Club winning 4-0 and
following that win up with a 3-0 against Richmond Strikers, they are currently 8-0 in league play with 3 games remaining.
