WUE is the Western Undergraduate Exchange, a program coordinated by the Western Interstate Commission for Higher Education (WICHE). Through WUE, students in Western states may enroll in participating two-year and fouryear public college programs at a reduced tuition level: up to 150 percent of the institution’s regular resident tuition. In all cases, WUE tuition is considerably less than nonresident tuition. For answers to many of the commonly asked questions about WUE, visit wiche.edu/askwiche. Funds awarded for the Husky Promise will cover only up to the calculated financial need after applying federal and state grants such as Pell or State Need. The Washington Association of Career and Technical Administrators awards up to five scholarships for graduating Washington State high school seniors. Awards highlight students who have distinguished themselves in the field of Career and Technical Education during high school. The scholarship committee will review entries and select up to five winners. Each will be awarded a $1,000 scholarship. The ACPE has allocated up to $10,000 for scholarships of up to $2,000 each. Eligibility: graduating high school seniors who have been actively involved in the use of technology during their high school careers and are planning to pursue studies in a technology related field. The WIAA, Dairy Farmers of Washington, and Les Schwab Tires are pleased to announce the sixth annual Smart Choices College Scholarship which will recognize one female and one male high school student for their achievements in athletics/activities, the community, and the classroom with a $5,000 college scholarship to the college or university of their choice. In addition to the two $5,000 scholarship winners, eight finalists will receive $1,000 scholarships. IBEW Local 191’s Community Participation Program is offering a total of twenty (20) scholarships to graduating seniors in their jurisdiction who are pursuing a Technical Degree in a construction-related field at a Community or Technical College. Award amount: $500.00
