MCKEE BUILDERS RAISES $30,000 FOR MILITARY CHARITY (SPRINGFIELD, PA) McKee Builders recently raised $30,000 for the Navy SEAL Foundation at a yearly charitable golf event. They hosted over 120 golfers at the fourth annual Frank A. McKee Golf Classic held last month on September 11th. By the day of the event, there was a waiting list of individuals hoping to participate. The golf classic is named for Frank A. McKee, who founded McKee Builders in 1948 and served in the Army Airborne during World War II. In its three previous years, the event raised money for local SPCA charities. This year, Frank McKee Jr., vice president of sales and marketing for the builder, said they wanted to focus on a worthy military organization. The Navy SEAL Foundation is a nonprofit charity
that serves the needs of U.S. Navy SEALs and related personnel as well as their families. The foundation’s programs are geared to help participants reduce the stress often associated with Naval Special Warfare activities. Headquartered in Virginia Beach, Va., it is a charitable organization that with global reach that is not part of any military branch. “Without the SEALs and the protection they provide, we wouldn’t be where we are now,” said Frank McKee Jr., vice president of sales and marketing at McKee. “The SEALs are so humble and appreciative, it makes it even more rewarding to support and give back to them.” McKee Builders was also featured in the press in 2006 when they volunteered time and expertise to construct a
handicap-accessible home for Army Sgt. Pisey Tan, who had recently lost both legs in the Iraq conflict. 14th Annual Charity Golf Outing Continues Mission to Defeat Breast Cancer MORRIS PLAINS, N.J. – September 25, 2014 – Weichert, Realtors successfully raised $80,000 in donations for the American Cancer Society (ACS) to fund breast cancer research during its 14th Annual Charity Golf Outing. Proceeds from the successful event bring the grand total that Weichert has raised for the ACS to more than $730,000 since the annual fundraiser began in 2001. “The generosity of the individuals and businesses in the area that came out to support this worthy cause is
