Welcome Back to School
First Week of School Wednesday, September 7th Junior and Senior Orientation Day 8:00 am until approx. 12:30 pm Formal uniform for juniors Summer uniform for seniors Thursday, September 8th Freshman and Sophomore Orientation Day 8:00 am until approx. 12:30 pm Formal uniform for freshmen and sophomores. Senior Retreat 8:00 am until 2:15 pm Summer uniform Friday, September 9th Freshman Spirit Day 8:00 am until 12:00 pm Casual dress; jeans, sneakers, and colored t-shirt. (click here to find your assigned homeroom color) Freshman Welcome Freshman and their families 7:00 pm at the football game Monday, September 12th All Students 8:00 am until 2:30 pm Students will begin wearing their summer uniforms through September 30th.
Here are a few reminders before school begins...
Book bills were mailed two weeks ago. Your student can bring their check into school on the first day, however, if you would like to mail your check into school, send to the attention of Mrs. Kathy Marrone.
Student homerooms and class schedules will be published on the parent portal today Wednesday, August 31st after 3:00 pm. To access your parent portal go to www.pvihs.org and click on the Paul VI Connections button and sign in using your username and password. New students received their username and password in the mail along with their book bill. If you have any trouble with logging onto your parent portal, contact Mrs. Foster at [email protected].
Parking Lot Reminder: When dropping off or picking up students, do not drive in the lane closest to the school which is reserved for buses. Enter the parking lot and turn left after the church or in the middle lane. Click here for diagram.
Class of 2017 Senior Retreat Permission slips for the September 8th Senior Retreat are due now. If you have not returned the form, you can bring it into school on Wednesday, September 7th. Click here to download the form. Seniors must wear their summer uniform for the retreat.
Mary, Our Mother... pray for us Next week as we welcome all our PVI students back to school, we will remember and offer prayers of Thanksgiving for the gift of Mary, our Mother. Her nativity, her birth, will be celebrated on September 8, 2016. And in small groups, under the watchful eye of our senior peer leaders, our freshmen will tour our building and beautiful grounds on their special Spirit/orientation day on Friday, September 9, 2016. One of the spots on the tour is our beautiful new Prayer Garden for Mary. Each group will stop at the Prayer Garden, reflect on all the gifts each has received and together will offer a simple Hail Mary. Many groups, many Hail Mary’s will be prayed. Maybe all of us, no matter where we are or what we are doing, will stop as well and offer a simple Hail Mary for our newest students, the Class of 2020.
“Class of 2020” Freshman Welcome Friday, September 9th is our first football game. PTO invites the incoming freshmen and their families to attend. Hamburgers, hot dogs, chips and drinks will be served at halftime in the cafeteria. Pre-registration is required. If you plan to attend, please email your student’s name and # of people by Friday, September 2nd [email protected].
