The fear of the Lord is an awareness that you are in the presence of a holy, just, and almighty God and that He will hold you accountable for your motives, thoughts, words, and actions. To fear God is to desire to live in harmony with His righteous standards and to honor Him in all that you do.
National Night Out is on Tuesday, August 2, from 6-9 pm. Our church will have a booth at the Campbelltown Fire Company. This is a great opportunity for us to get the word out about Nic@Nite since Nic@Nite begins the next evening. If you would like to help out, please indicate that on the purple sheet.
Join us on Friday, July 15 at 7:00 pm as we show Front of the Class, an unforgettable story of a teacher determined to make a difference. We will be watching this movie outside on the lawn if the weather permits. Bring your lawn chairs and/or blankets.
Don’t miss the Nic@Nite experience! The deadline to sign up to help is Sunday, July 17. Let us know soon how you can help. It will aid us in our planning. You can sign up online or on the purple sheet. See the insert for more information.
The youth who are attending Momentum are holding a free two-hour daycare for children ages 3-11 at the church on Thursday, July 14 from 10:00 am until noon. They are doing this to give parents two hours of free time to spend with their spouse, go shopping, or even take a nap! There will be many activities in which your children may participate, including water games so have your child wear something they can get wet in and bring a towel. Have your kids invite a friend!
We will have an outdoor baptism at Dennis and Karen Schoffstall’s pond on August 21 at 4:00 pm. Let us know if you are ready to take this step of obedience by marking your purple sheet. Please bring lawn chairs and a snack to share. The church will supply drinks, and s’more items. After the baptism service, you will be able to swim in their pond. Children are their parent’s responsibility and should provide their own life preservers, if needed.
Pastor Dan will be at National Conference from July 21-26. Pastor Christian will be at Momentum from July 26-31.
