BOOK FAIR MONDAY 11TH MAY—THURSDAY 14TH MAY Please come along to the Book Fair next week. The dates and times we are open for you to buy books are: Monday 11th May 3.15—3.45 YEAR 2 parents, carers and children Tuesday 12th May 3.15—3.45 YEAR 1 parents, carers and children Wednesday 13th May 3.15– 3.45 RECEPTION and YEAR 3 parents, carers and children Thursday 14th May 3.15—3.45 any parents, carers and children The NURSERY book fair will be on Monday 11th May AM Nursery parents, carers and children only 11—11.30a.m. PM Nursery parents, carers and children only 12.30—13.00p.m. All purchases raise money for school funds to help pay for events such as visiting theatre performances so please come along and support your school.
Buy 2 books at the Book Fair and choose a third book FREE* (*cheapest book free) PLEASE NOTE THAT ONLY CASH PAYMENTS OR VOUCHERS ORDERED AT www.travellingbooks.co.uk CAN BE ACCEPTED AT THE BOOK FAIR
DATES FOR YOUR DIARY Mon 11th May—Year 1 trip to British Wildlife Centre 11th—15th May Book Fair Fri 15th May—Dress up as a Book Character Mon 25th to Fri 29th May—Half Term Break Fri 5th June—Reception trip to the Gruffalo Trail Fri 3rd July—Year 2 trip to the National Maritime Museum* Thu 9th July—Nursery Trip to Godstone Farm* Fri 17th July—Last Day of Term Mon 20th July—School Closed for Staff Training *further information to follow in due course The term date card issued last year shows an inset day on Friday 26th June. Please note that this has been cancelled. The school year will now finish on Friday 17th July.
WELCOME We would like to welcome Mr Coston, our new Cedar Class teacher. Book Character Dress Up Friday 15th May Don’t forget to dress up as a Book Character on Friday 15th May! Who, or what, will you be? Costumes don’t need to be elaborate…. try making something at home, maybe a mask or a tabard to represent your character. Perhaps you will be one of the marvellous characters from Alice in Wonderland…… or maybe a giant peach! What do you think your teacher will be? Remember there will a prize for the best costume in each year group so get your thinking hats on…...
Please ensure your children are always properly dressed and equipped for the weather. All children spend time outside during the school day so it is essential that they have coats in school at the moment.
