Hello Mike, Our chemical division’s performance has been immensely troubling me from a long time. The division is currently in heavy debt amounting to $740,000 and the loss in loss in last year alone amounted to $200,000. Considering the declining performance of the chemical division, I think the best solution will be to sell off the chemical division. I have done some research and we should be able to sell it for around $500,000. The hardest part is that we will have to lay off ten employees from the chemical division of the company who have been loyal to us for a very long time. Please give this issue serious thought and let me know when you will be available for a meeting to discuss this in detail.

We are currently in deep loss and keeping the financial situation in mind, we have decided to discontinue the tuition-reimbursement program for employees. Our company believes in employee benefits and growth so this decision was not easy for us at all. However, we are hopeful that as soon as the company’s financial position improves, we will re-launch the program. The students who are currently enrolled will not be affected in any way and will continue to be a part of the program. Please visit the human resource department further clarification/help.
