TONIGHT’S MATCHUP It’s the final road trip of the regular season for the No. 5ranked West Liberty men as they dribble into Murphy Gym to challenge Notre Dame. The Hilltoppers clinched the outright MEC title and No. 1 seed in next week’s MEC Tournament on Saturday with a 105-66 drubbing of Glenville State. Dan Monteroso led all scorers with 22 points and topped the 1,000-point mark for his career. The Falcons dropped a 94-84 decision at UVa-Wise on Saturday despite a game-high 28 points from K.T. Taylor.

Taylor had 28 points and 10 rebounds for the visitors In just his second season after transferring from Purdue, Monteroso became the 49th West Liberty player to reach the 1,000-point mark on Saturday West Liberty has clinched yet another outright MEC championship. It's the Hilltoppers' eighth conference title in the past nine seasons The Black and Gold have earned eight consecutive NCAA Tournament bids, advancing to seven Sweet 16s, five Elite Eights and four Final Fours West Liberty has won five of the last seven Atlantic Region titles and played in seven of the last eight Atlantic Region championship games Saturday's 105-66 win vs. Glenville State was WLU's 18th 100-point game this season. West Liberty is 173-7 since 2008-09 when scoring 100 or more points At 107.2 ppg., the Hilltoppers are closing in on their 10th national scoring title. Lincoln Memorial (Tenn.) is a distant second at 97.1 ppg.
