BENEFITS The West Plains Transit Center will provide these benefits: • Improved connectivity directly between the cities of Airway Heights, Medical Lake and Cheney, alleviating the need to connect via downtown Spokane • Increased transit access with minimal increase in operating costs • Increased Park and Ride capacity • Increased efficiency of existing services • 1.1 million fewer annual vehicle miles on I-90 and 95,000 fewer vehicle trips by the fourth year • Accommodates future High Performance Transit vehicles that will expedite travel through increased frequency, prepaid and faster boarding
