Property A most impressive four bedroom town house with a separate annex above the double garage. The property is found on the prestigious Kingsbrook Park Development built by Berkley Homes in 2011 and enjoying views over the historic city of Canterbury and Canterbury Cathedral. The property provides spacious and well-proportioned living accommodation with the accommodation arranged over four floors. To the ground floor there is a delightful kitchen with a comprehensive range of units and integrated double oven, induction hob, microwave, dishwasher and fridge/freezer. From the kitchen is a sitting/family room with double doors to the garden. There is also a utility room and a cloakroom. To the first floor, there is a large L-Shaped lounge/dining room enjoying views of the Cathedral to the front. The former shower room has been converted into a useful kitchenette/utility room. On the second floor, there are two bedrooms, both with en-suite facilities and fitted wardrobes. Lastly, on the third floor there are two further bedrooms, both with fitted wardrobes and a family bathroom. The enclosed rear garden is easy to maintain with block-paved and shingled patio area and well-stocked flower and plant beds. To the rear there is a double garage with electric up and over doors, above which is an annex with open-plan lounge/bedroom, a kitchen area with oven and hob and a separate shower room. There is a small front garden with further communal landscaped gardens to the front. This lovely home has been maintained in excellent condition throughout and is conveniently situated within walking distance of the city centre, where you will find a wide variety of shopping, dining, cultural and recreational facilities. There are also a number of highly regarded schools to be found in both the public and private sectors. Canterbury West railway station is within easy access providing a high-speed service to London St. Pancras.

Our Time Here We were first drawn to the property’s proximity to school and town, which meant there would be less need to use the car. We liked the fact that the house was low maintenance and was ideal to just lock-up and leave, as we like to travel. We love the first floor’s formal area. This was originally two rooms so we took out a wall, removed the carpet and put down timber veneer floor boards. I also love the wall colours we chose for the formal area and kitchen/living area; originally everything was white. We are also very pleased with the white shutters we had installed throughout the property which are classy and avoid the need for curtains and blinds, which I personally don’t like as I find they often clash with furnishings. Within our row of terrace houses, everyone is very friendly and considerate. Canterbury has everything you could possibly need, and the Marlowe theatre is only a five minute walk, while the centre of town is around 10 minutes. Our children attended the King’s school which was also a ten minute walk away. The river runs on two sides of the estate and is very pleasant to walk along. The construction of the property is excellent and the double glazing makes it very warm in the winter. We will miss being in such a lovely location so close to Canterbury.
