Who Moved My Pulpit? By Thom Rainer • I have never seen successful and sustaining change take place in a church without prayer. Never. Not once. It is incumbent upon you to put the matter to prayer for a period of time. It is incumbent upon you to ask others to join you in a season of prayer for the change initiative.

Isaiah 40:28-30 • Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth does not become weary or tired. His understanding is inscrutable. 29 He gives strength to the weary, and to him who lacks might He increases power. 30 Though youths grow weary and tired, and vigorous young men stumble badly,
Isaiah 40:31 (AMP) • But those who wait for the Lord [who expect, look for, and hope in Him] shall change and renew their strength and power; they shall lift their wings and mount up [close to God] as eagles [mount up to the sun]; they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint or become tired.
Time to Lead Change • Prayer is not an option in leading change in the church; it is foundational. • You are not smart enough to lead change. You need to pray for wisdom. • You are not brave enough to lead change. You need to pray for courage.
Time to Lead Change • You are not strong enough to lead change. You need to pray for strength. • I have never seen successful sustaining change take place in a church without prayer.
