What is Hudson Valley Gives ? Our region’s first ever day of giving on May 18, 2016 ! This 24hour online fundraising event gives local nonprofits the opportunity to reach thousands of potential donors and boost their visibility exponentially through the power of social media, printed and broadcast marketing materials, and word of mouth. Prizes and matching donations will be offered all day long to participating nonprofits as an incentive for donors to give generously to their favorite local charities and causes. What does it cost to participate? There is absolutely no risk, and no out of pocket cost to your nonprofit. A small % of the donations you bring in may be deducted from each donation that comes in on the day to cover processing and administrative fees, although, your donors will have the opportunity to cover that cost and most of them do! There is nothing to lose.
