GOOD NEWS FROM THE BIBLE—GOD'S WORD on the GOSPEL!  Acts 16:31—“What must I do to be saved? Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ!”  Ephesians 2:8-9—The Ephesians were completely lost, alienated from God, condemned to suffer the wrath of God forever. But God is merciful & gracious. “For by grace you have been saved, through faith, that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God, not of works lest anyone should boast.”  The Gospel of John: 20:30-31—why John wrote the Gospel of John  John 1:11-12—“Receiving Him” is equal to “Believing in Him”  John 3:16—Jesus & Nicodemus have a conversation. Jesus predicts His own crucifixion. Jesus gives Nicodemus the Good News: “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”  John 3:17-18—The one who believes in not condemned! But the one who does not believe is condemned ALREADY! Why?? …because he has not believed!!!  John 5:24—Three very important points: 1) ‘has everlasting life' (present), 2) ‘will not come into judgment' (future), and 3) ‘has passed from death to life' (happened in the past with emphasis on the present result!

2.

Three Aspects of the Gospel in these verses!  PROBLEM—We are all sinners, condemned already  PERSON—JESUS CHRIST! God so loved the world He sent His ONLY BEGOTTEN SON!  PERSONAL FAITH—EVERYONE MUST 'BELIEVE' in Christ in order to receive the gift of eternal
