Shop PRODUCTION: The irrigated hay land puts up 3-4 tons/acre off two cuttings. Big Timber Creek Canal supplies the water with senior rights filed in 1892. Cows can graze out often during the winter due to chinooks. There are no Ponderosa pine trees, which often cause late season abortions. The current management feeds one-two ton/cow/winter. 2009 calves were born the end of February-March and contracted at 630 lbs for late October. About 300 cows are currently run with outside leases.
