Introducing the most comprehensive programme of education for the maritime industry covering purchasing and supply chain management A comprehensive programme of four dedicated maritime courses focused on professional procurement and supply chain management and covering the key and essential issues in the profession. The programme begins with an introductory course that is applicable to all personnel wishing to gain a thorough grounding in procurement essentials and ultimately leads to a full strategic programme in year four. Students can however choose which programme they wish to study dependent on their age and experience and in this way total flexibility is offered to the industry. Each course is offered over a 12-month period and provided entirely online using a tailormade education portal with resources, discussion boards and assignments posted. Students are guided through the core syllabus

and provided resources and materials to help them gain the best from each programme. Each course is split into distinct modules that combine to provide a thorough and complete programme of study. Assessment of each module is through a variety of coursework, contribution on forums and assignments, some modules may feature multiple choice and other exams. On completion, students qualify for either a certificate or diploma that is recognised and promoted globally through the IMPA network. Students gain valuable status from their study beginning with registered buyer and ultimately leading to the highest rank of Registered Procurement Officer. How will the modules be delivered?
What are the entry requirements? We want to give everyone the opportunity to learn more about the maritime supply chain. The course structure is designed so that participants can progress through the programme commencing at level 1 which available to all within the industry and suitable for those without any prior qualifications.
As part of an interactive and user-friendly experience, each course will be delivered online. Available to students 24 hours a day, seven days a week, students will have access to all course materials.
If you have been employed within the supply chain function for a period of time you may wish to join at level 2 or 3 and this is agreed on an individual basis.
How will I be assessed? Each course will have between two and three assessments, which will combine activities such as individual and group presentations with coursework like essays, reports, reflective journals, diaries and much more. Interactive learning makes this course both challenging and fun, ensuring you stay engaged with the learning programme from start to finish.
