Are you or someone you know dealing with the loss of a loved one? Grief can be a time of overwhelming emotional pain and turmoil. Many times grief can be so overpowering that the griever can feel helpless, hopeless, lost and as if they are going crazy. In a two-hour presentation open and free to the community, Dr. Ken Doka will share insights on why grief can be such a painful and emotional experience for the mourner. In addition, mourners and their caregivers will be given practical suggestions to help make the grief process easier and to move toward hope and healing. Dr. Doka is the Senior Consultant to the Hospice Foundation of America, an ordained minister and a Professor of Gerontology at the Graduate School of The College of New Rochelle. He is the author of several books on grief and serves on the panels of grief and end-of-life topic webinars presented by the Hospice Foundation of America. Wherever he speaks in the United States or abroad, he draws large crowds of both people who are struggling after the loss of a loved one and those ministering to grievers.
