Discussion Questions: • Does God need us to give Him glory? • Then why should we give God glory if He doesn’t need it from us? • What are some things about God that make Him worthy to be glorified by us? • We talked about this in the last lesson, but let’s remind ourselves: what are some ways we can give God glory?
Devotion: We’ve already talked about how God created us. We are precious to Him as His special creation. He takes care of us and is faithful to provide for all our needs. There are so many ways He shows His love for us! Knowing that He created us, does everything to care for us, and we are precious in His eyes, how could we not glorify Him? We glorify God by responding to His love with praise, obedience, loving acts toward others, and more. The more we know about God and His love, the more we want to glorify Him in these ways - we see His glory and confess with our words and actions that He is good and worthy to be praised
Crafts/Activities: • God Made Me Review. Bring out the crafts and activities from the Who Made Me? lesson in Sound Words: All About God (Unit 1). Talk about how God made us with great care and love. We glorify Him because He is our Creator. • Taking Care of Babies. Collect some dolls, blankets, play food, bottles, doll diapers, etc. Set up a little play station and pretend along with your child to take care of the dolls. Talk about taking care of them when they are hungry by feeding them, when they are cold by clothing them, and so on. Talk about how God knows and takes care of their needs in the same way. Do babies adore their parents? Yes! We should glorify God because He takes care of us.

Why should you glorify God? Because He made me and takes care of me. The Bible tells us about how much God cares for us. He knows all our needs and takes care of us. He is great and loving God! Luke 12:22-32 says “And he [Jesus] said to his disciples, ‘Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat, nor about your body, what you will put on. For life is more than food, and the body more than clothing. “Consider the ravens: they neither sow nor reap, they have neither storehouse nor barn, and yet God feeds them. Of how much more value are you than the birds! And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life? If then you are not able to do as small a thing as that, why are you anxious about the rest? Consider the lilies, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin, yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. “But if God so clothes the grass, which is alive in the field today, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, how much more will he clothe you, O you of little faith! And do not seek what you are to eat and what you are to drink, nor be worried. For all the nations of the world seek after these things, and your Father knows that you need them. Instead, seek his kingdom, and these things will be added to you. Fear not, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.” We glorify God by loving Him and doing what He commands.
