The top 60 Summer Reading Program student readers will win a lunch with author R.L. Stine. CONTEST PARTICIPATION: New Orleans resident students who have completed 1st grade up to 8th grade (ages 6-13) and who have registered for the Summer Reading Program and recorded time spent reading from 5/5/16 through noon 8/10/16 will be eligible to win the contest.
CONTEST INFORMATION: 60 students with the largest number of minutes read during the contest period (5/5/16 through noon 8/10/16) will win a lunch with R.L. Stine at the Main Library on Saturday, 9/17/16.
Winners will be notified by email and must confirm their lunch participation by 9/1/16. Openings will be filled by students with the next highest recorded reading amounts until 60 seats have been reserved. Winning students may be accompanied by one parent or caretaker. Students may register for the Summer Reading Program online at nolalibrary.org or in person at any New Orleans Public Library location. Recorded reading times must occur from 5/5/16 through noon 8/10/16. Students keeping paper reading logs may bring them to the Library to enter reading minutes online. NOPL staff will provide assistance when feasible.
