COURSE DESCRIPTION Length of Time: Full Year Number of Periods Per Week: 3 Day or 5 Day Number of Credits: 4.00 or 6.00 Instructor: Mr. Fantazzi
WIND ENSEMBLE The Wind Ensemble is the premier concert band at WHS made up of advanced students. Acceptance into the ensemble is by audition only in the Spring of the previous school year. Instruments include Piccolo, Flute, Clarinet, Bass Clarinet, Oboe, Bassoon, Saxophone, Trumpet, French Horn, Trombone, Baritone, Tuba, and Percussion. Every student will receive a group lesson once a week as part of the course. Students will perform in a winter and spring concert and perform in local and regional concert band festivals. Membership in the WHS Marching Braves is highly recommended.
PROJECTS INCLUDE: • Two Evening Concert Performances (Open to the Public) • Performances at School Events • Solo Opportunities • Honor Band Audition Opportunities • Voluntary Membership in the Marching Band
