Pattern #24415-LTGre1…………1 5/8 yards (includes the backing) Batting………………....……....1 piece 50” x 42” Cutting Instructions: Please read all instructions carefully before beginning. All seams are a scant ¼” which is included in all measurements unless otherwise stated. Cut pieces in order listed. Label all pieces. Refer to all illustrations and the quilt image for proper cutting and assembly. * wof = width of fabric, lof =length of fabric. It is strongly recommended to heavily starch all pieces especially anywhere making a bias cuts.
Fabric A - Kitten Panel (24409-Bro1) 1. Fussy cut panel to measure 23” x 16”. Label “Center”. Fabric B –Kitten Window Patch (24410-Mul1) 1. Fussy cut two strips 5 1/2" x lof, centering a row of windows within the width. Label “Border 2-sides”. Fabric C – Kitten All-over (24411-Mul1) 1. Fussy cut two strips 5 1/2" x wof. Label “Border 2-top/bottom”. Fabric D – Kitten Shelf (24412-Mul1) 1. Fussy cut four strips 2” x wof. Begin cutting 1/4" above the brown scenic band and ending 2 1/2" below. Label “Border 3”.
Fabric E – Packed Kittens (24413-Mul1) 1. Fussy cut four squares, on-point, to measure 4” x 4”. Label “A”. 2
Fabric F – Tossed Kittens (24414-LTGre1) 1. Fussy cut two strips 4” x lof. Label: “Border 4-sides”. 2. Fussy cut two strips 4” x wof. Label: “Border 4-top”. Fabric G – Brown Kitten Texture (24415-Bro1) 1. Cut four strips 2 1/2" x wof and set aside for the binding. 2. Cut four strips 1 1/2" x wof and label “Border 1”. 3. Cut eight squares 4” x 4”. Sub-cut the squares in half on the diagonal to make a total of sixteen triangles. Label “B”. 4. Cut eight squares 3 1/2” x 3 1/2”. Subcut the squares in half on the diagonal to make a total of sixteen triangles. Label “D”. Fabric H – Lt Green Kitten Texture (24415-LTGre1) 1. Cut one piece 50” x 42” for the backing. 2. Cut four squares to measure 2 1/2". Label “C”. Piecing Instructions: *Please refer to the quilt image and the layout diagram on the last page to accurately arrange the pieces for the quilt top. Because of the directionality of the fabric, it is necessary to carefully check the orientation of the pieces before sewing in place.
This quilt is made up of the center panel and four borders. Two of the borders have corner blocks. Border 2 Blocks 1. Center and sew a “B” piece to opposite sides of an “A” piece. 2. Center and sew a “B” piece to the remaining two sides of the “A” piece. Square up block to measure 5 1/2".

Border 4 Blocks: 1. Center and sew a “D” piece to opposite sides of a “C” piece. 2. Center and sew a “D” piece to the remaining two sides of the “C” piece. Square up block to measure 4".
Border 1: 1. Measure the quilt from top to bottom through the center and cut two “Border 1” strips to this length. 2. Sew one of these strips to each side edge of the quilt. 3. Measure the quilt from side to side through the center and cut the remaining two “Border 1” strips to this measurement. Border 2: 1. Measure the quilt through the center, from top to bottom. Cut the “Border 2sides” strips using this measurement. 2. Sew a “Border 2-block” to each end of these strips, making sure to orient the blocks as shown in the image to the right, and set aside. 3. Measure the quilt through the center, from side to side. Cut the “Border 2top/bottom” strips using this measurement. 4. Sew one of these “Border 2top/bottom” strips to the top and one to the bottom edge of the quilt, making sure to orient the fabrics correctly. 5. Sew one of the “Border 2sides” strips to each side of the quilt, making sure to orient the fabrics correctly. 3
Border 3: 1. Center and pin in place, one of the “Border 3” strips on one edge of the quilt top, making sure that the bottom of the planters faces in towards the quilt top. 2. Sew in place, beginning and ending 1/4" from each end of the quilt top. DO NOT trim the excess fabric. 3. Repeat these steps on the remaining sides. 4. Miter the corners, and trim the excess fabric to complete the border. Border 4: 1. Measure the quilt through the center, from top to bottom. Cut the “Border 4sides” strips using this measurement. 2. Sew a “Border 4-block” to each end of these strips and set aside. 3. Measure the quilt through the center, from side to side. Cut the “Border 4top/bottom” strips using this measurement. 4. Sew one of these “Border 4-top/bottom” strips to the top and one to the bottom edge of the quilt, making sure to orient the fabrics correctly. 5. Sew one of the “Border 4-sides” strips to each side of the quilt, making sure to orient the fabrics correctly. Finishing: 1. Layer the quilt top with the batting and backing and quilt as desired. 2. Trim the backing and batting even with the quilt top. 3. Sew the binding strips end to end with a diagonal seam to form one long strip. 4. Press the strip in half, lengthwise, wrong sides together. 5. Sew to the quilt front, matching the raw edges of the binding with the edge of quilt and sew, mitering the corners. 6. Turn the binding to the back and stitch in place. Enjoy your quilt!
