This may be the day for you! We are opening the shop on Sunday at 11am these dates to allow small groups to meet in our classroom for 5 hours. UFO, Featherweight, Hand Embroidery, Fiber Arts…all are welcome! We have 2 classroom so you can group together to meet and still allow space for other groups. Classic Blouse with Donna Lawrence* Friday, January 6 10:00am-4:00pm This pattern will soon become your favorite blouse pattern. This pattern has B, C, and D cup sizes for a much better fit. Construction is quick and easy. You will learn a great collar technique and see several options for sleeves. There are lots of possibilities with this pattern. I will help you fit your pattern to you. I have simplified this pattern with the use of pre-quilted fabric. These backpacks make wonderful gifts! Great class for kids too! Cost: $30.00 for class, $9.50 pattern Embroidery Club with Anne Morgan First Wednesday of every month 2:00-8:00pm Do you own an embroidery machine but haven’t really used it? Join us the first Wednesday of each month for an afternoon of stitching and networking. Arrive any time after 2 but around 6 we will have show and tell, snacks followed by a hands-on project or demonstration. Many of our members come after work, so don’t hesitate to join us on your way home! Leave your e-mail address at the store and we will send you meeting information each month. Cost: $5.00 per session, pay in classroom Embroidery Doodles with Jan Vaine Saturday, January 7 10:00am-4:00pm Mary Corbett of Needle ‘n Thread recently did a series on “voided” embroidered monograms. This is a perfect way to do some mindless stitching when you just need something in your hands to stitch without a lot of thinking. It also gives you an opportunity to play with different embroidery stitches. This class offers a day of playful stitching, learning ways to use basic stitches, and sharing ideas with others in class. Cost: $45.00 for class, $8.50 book English Paper Piecing Support Club with Robyn Nelson* Fridays, November 11, December 9, and January 13 10:30am-1:30pm Robyn is looking to start the Quatro Colour from Sue Daley. Newbies and seasoned EPP'ers are welcome. We will meet once a month to share our progress, learn new/different techniques (including Sue's knickerknot) and wonder in amazement at each others progress. This beautiful quilt would be a great scrap buster! It is also a good carry along project...great for picking up and putting down. You can work on it whenever you have a few minutes or several hours while traveling. Let's get our supplies together and get started! Fetch Your Sketch with Donna Lawrence* Saturday, December 10 10:30am-3:00pm This great on-the-go art tote is perfect for kids on the go and makes a wonderful gift. The portfolio opens to 11” x 24” and features a chalkboard mat and two pockets for storing 9” x 12” drawing pads or coloring books. Two zippered see-through pockets hold scissors, markers, pencils and more and two elastictopped mesh pockets are perfect for boxes of crayons and chalk. Cost: $12.00 for class, $10-12 pattern Saturday Sampler with Janice Milhollin* Second Saturday of each month in 2017 9:00-10:00am Start your New Year by participating in our Saturday Sampler. At the first meeting you will receive a block to complete and bring to the next meeting. When you bring your completed block to the meeting ON TIME (you must stay for the meeting) you will receive the next month’s block FREE! We are offering the blocks in either Grunge or 30’s fabrics. Please specify your choice when you register. This BOM will run from January to December 2017. The organizer measures 12” x 27” when open and 12” x 9” x 3” for storage. Three see-through pockets make everything easy to find and a deep zippered pocket on the bottom is perfect for larger items. Tuffet with Terri Lore Saturdays, November 5 10:30am-2:00pm AND November 12 10:30am-3:00pm Ever wanted to create a custom tuffet for your home? Now you can! This beautiful 18" Tuffet will be a great addition to any room. You need a jelly roll to create the classic top or a mix of sizes to create your own fun variation. During the second class you will be assembling your tuffet. Kits available in class. The sewing hours will be 9 to 9. Bring your own food, something to share or eat out. There will be no facilitator. It will be a “pedal to the metal” kind of thing. We are limiting the enrollment so each person gets an entire table to themselves. Shop will also be open for attendees from...you guessed it, 9 to 9! Add the Night Stitchers on Friday, August 19 or October 21 for just $10 and have a 2 day mini-retreat to knock out your to-do list! Cost: $14.99
CLASS POLICIES Classes are reserved on a first come, first served basis. You are only guaranteed a spot in the class if you have paid for it. We can take a credit card over the phone, you can order online or come in. Our system does not allow us to hold a spot without payment. -- Store credits will only be given for a cancellation made 6 days before the scheduled class. For cancellations made 2-5 days prior to class, store credits will be provided for 50% of the class fee to your customer account. NO refunds will be given for the "no shows" or cancellations made within 24 hours of the class. Please note teachers are not required to offer make up classes. -- You will be notified 5 days prior to class date if the class does not make. -- Class fees DO NOT include supplies or pattern unless stated in the class description. -- We try to start classes on time. Please arrive 15 minutes ahead of class to set up and get last minute supplies. Be ready when class begins. For before/after hour classes, we will open the doors 20 minutes before class begins. -- Children under 18 and guests are not permitted in adult classes. -- Please be familiar with the machine you are using. Please remember the power cords, foot pedal and all accessories (manual if needed). -- Please make sure your class will make before you buy supplies. A supply list will be given at the time of sign ups and are available on our website, www.cinnamonsquilts.com. -- If an item is needed for class that is a special order, all orders must be received no later than the Monday of the week before class to ensure item will be delivered in time for class. This excludes possible backorders that are beyond our control. -- If you have signed up for a retreat or special event, store credit will be given only if we can fill your spot. Many times this is possible because we have a waiting list. We will try our hardest to fill the vacant spot, but no promises.
