Winter Academy Compete at the highest level of Youth Futsal in the USA. Lansing City Futsal Youth Academy teams serve as a world-class soccer development option as well as our feeder system for our Pro Futsal team. Check out the details below!
Starts November 13th - Ends March 4th
16 weeks of academy training sessions (2 training sessions per week) 8 Futsal league games in January and February in the East Michigan Futsal LEague Futsal SHowcase Tournament in Lansing, Mi (November 18th & 19th) USYF Regional Tournament in Akron, Ohio for qualified teams ( January 12th - 15th) U.S Futsal Regional Tournament in Wildwood, New Jersey for Qualified Teams (February 17th-19th) USYF National Tournament in Kansas City, MO for qualified teams ( February 16th 19th) Free tickets to all Lansing City pro home game matches Girls and Boys Age groups from 2008 - 1999

Winter Academy The LEvels The Lansing City Youth Winter ACademy has two levels of teams. The First level we call "Academy". This level is for our experienced level of players that we feel can compete at the highest level of youth futsal. The second level of teams is called "Premier". THis level is still a high level of futsal but consist of players we feel need more time to develop before competing at the highest level.
The Difference in SChedules Both level of teams will train twice per week for 16 weeks from November to March. Both levels of teams will also play league games in the East Michigan Futsal League. academy teams will play in the 1st division and Premier teams will play in the 2nd division. ACademy teams will play in the Futsal showcase in Lansing, MI, and either play in the USYF regional tournament in Akron, Ohio or in the U.S Futsal REgional Tournament in Wildwood, New JErsey. Premier TEams will play in the futsal showcase in Lansing, MI and in another "in State" Futsal Tournament in Detroit or Grand Rapids.
Developing Top Level players Our goal is to develop elite level soccer players and elite level futsal players. In order to do this properly you need three things. First, a quality training environment. Second, the willingness to train on your own on off days. Finally, you need competition that stretches you and forces you to grow. The City Youth Staff will make team assignments and player assignments to give our players the best training and playing environment possible. We do not do this as a hobby. We are passionate about this sport. Period.
