WISD Letter Jacket Policy Letter jackets will not be awarded until the student enters the 11th grade.
Athletics Football, Volleyball, Basketball, Baseball, Softball, Track, Golf, Tennis, Powerlifting Completed two years in a specific sport, or completed one year varsity participation.
Band Participation for two years during high school or advanced to post-district competition as an individual in one or more years.
Cheer Member of varsity for one year or completes two years as a cheerleader.
Drill Team Member of team or manager for two years. Note: Student could be any combination of cheer, mascot, spirit leader, drill team, or manager to meet two year eligibility.
UIL Academics Participation for two years or advanced to post-district competition one or more years.
Robotics Participation for two years or advanced to post-district competition one or more years.
One Act Play Participation for two years or advanced to post-district competition one or more years. Student may also qualify if they receive an individual superlative award at district competition.
FFA Student must compete in one Leadership Development Event (LDE), one Career Development Event (CDE), AND one Supervised Agriculture Experience (SAE) to qualify. Student may also qualify if they are an elected officer for one or more years, or advance to state in one or more events one or more years.

FCCLA Participation for two years in organization AND entry for two or more years in Creative Arts Exhibit at Loy Lake. Student may also qualify if they compete in a STAR event. Student may also qualify if they are an elected officer for one or more years.
Special Olympics Participation for two years in Special Olympics and competes in at least one event each year.
Transfers may earn a letter jacket after one year if they participated for one or more years in their previous school and did NOT receive a letter jacket. It is a UIL violation to receive more than one letter jacket in high school.
