Host a STEM + Families event to: ✶SPARK an interest in STEM with fun, hands‐on activities for students and their parents ✶EMPOWER families with info on STEM education classes and connections ✶INSPIRE kids to dream of a well‐ paid, exciting career in STEM ✶PTA.org/STEM
LET’S PLAY: Multiplication Heads Up (A game by Mathnasium) Divide into groups of 3 (2 players; 1 facilitator) ✶Distribute index cards to each group and have group write a number (1‐10) on each card ✶Without looking at value, each player draws a card and holds it number‐ side‐out on forehead ✶Facilitator says a product (multiplication) of two cards ✶First player to guess their own number wins

Health & Safety Make the healthy and safe choice the easy choice for kids
LET’S PLAY: Everyone stand up (or sit if you wish) ✸ Stretch your arms straight up to the sky (or “reach for the sky!”) while taking a deep breath in ✸ Exhale BIG while dropping your arms down (just do this 1 time) ✸ Let’s play Heads, Shoulders, Knees & Toes

February 11 – 17, 2018 PTA.org/TYFTSW Engages families in students’ academic success and well‐being Held annually in celebration of Founder’s Day (February 17th) $1,000 grants available to support events thanks to Chrysler & Google Chrome; Application available Oct. 23 – Nov. 17, 2017
