SWA was retained by the architect to provide full design and landscape architectural services for a one-acre mid-block plaza located on redevelopment land in the west side of midtown Manhattan. The project consists of 1.5 million square feet of office space in a 49-story tower, and 455 condominium units in a 35-story tower and in low wings behind. The ground floors of both towers, which flank the plaza on the east and west, are fully occupied by retail. The plaza is located at street level and over a six-theater cinema complex and a complete fitness center. In order for the developer
