The junior team placed 1st. Only 14 points separated the top senior team from Franklin. 4H Goat Clinic: 4H Dairy Goat Clinic, JULY 9th, Thursday, 10:00am at Darlene Nason’s, .457 Co. Rte. 3 Brushton. Preparing for fair, showmanship, clipping, hoof trimming, what to wear, filling out fair entries and more! Contact Darlene Nason to let her know you will be coming.
4H Competitive Trail Ride Training Ride-Friday, July 24th, 6:00pm, fairgrounds. Ride will be 3 miles and will be run as a practice ride. Pre-ride check, Mid -point check, and post ride check. Pre-registration is required with Pat Banker. Youth 12 and under are required to have an adult ride with them. Adults will be required to wear a helmet.. Volunteers needed to do pulse and respiration, act as judge and vet, check trail , and ride in front of and behind group of riders. A 10 mile plus ride will be planned for September. Fall Fun Show-September 26, Saturday, Fairgrounds. No fee! Picnic, games, and fun for the family. Start time 9:00 Miniature Horse Show, September 27, Fairgrounds. Furry and Fuzzy minis allowed. August 16th, 4H building at Malone F air, 11:00 am. Dance, sing, show your comedic talent, play an instrument, or bring your band. Divisions: Cloverbuds aged 5-7, 8-12 Juniors, 13-18 Seniors. Prizes! It’s also wrist band day. Bring the family! Master Food Preservation Course-August 24-26, 2:00pm-8:00pm. Master instruction for all aspects of canning foods using both boiling water bath canners and all types of pressure canners. Science based, safe preservation of meats, vegetables, fruits, soups and sauces. Dehydration, jerked meats, and best freezing techniques. Contact the 4H office for more information.
