We welcome Mrs Booth . and Mrs Horgan to Wylye Valley, who are both Teaching Assistants. Parents’ Evening-Thank you to all those parents who came to Parents’ Evenings this week. If you were unable to attend on these afternoons, please contact your child’s teacher to make other arrangements. Scholastic Book Fair-A reminder that the book fair is in school until the morning of 9th November. You will be able to purchase books before and after school. For every book you buy, a donation will be made for books for our school library. Young Ambassador’s-On Tuesday 3rd November Dom and Toby W represented Wylye Valley at Bitham Brook Primary School, Westbury. Over 20 schools attended the Young Ambassadors meeting, where they discussed ways to encourage children at their schools to get involved in activities and keep active. Christmas Medley Club-Ethel Bell is going to run a new Christmas themed singing and dancing club. There will be 12 places available to KS2 children. It will start on Monday 9th November 3-4pm. If your child would like to take part in this club please contact the school office for a permission slip. Wylye Valley School Association-Your child should have brought home a copy of the Wylye Valley School Association News this week. With all the hard work, fundraising and very kind support from all of the school families and friends, they can now announce that enough money has been raised to purchase 15 ipads. We also intend to improve the playground markings so the School Council are carrying out some research into the ones they would like. Christmas Fayre-The Christmas Fayre will be held in the school hall on Friday 27th November between 3-6pm. All welcome. If you would be able to help set up ready for the fayre the WVSA would welcome your support from 1pm onwards. We would be grateful for any donations. Chocolate Donations-Please could children bring in any coppers for Children In Need as well Bottles and Jars-For Health & Safety reasons there will be a box on the school bus for you to put the bottle donations in. Christmas Fayre 3-6pm in School Hall

Please can all Christmas card orders be returned to school by Monday 9th November? They will be available to collect from the School Fayre. Notes/Reminders  Now the weather has got colder please can children bring coats, hats and jumpers to school. A letter will be sent home next week with contact details and arrangements for bad weather conditions.  There are a lot of children at lunchtime who are unable to use a knife and fork to eat their dinner. It would be helpful if you could encourage your child to use their cutlery independently and correctly at meal times.  The Upper Wylye Team Invite you to make Birthday Cakes for Jesus on Saturday 21st November between 1012pm at Sutton Veny Village Hall. All young people welcome-under 5’s need to bring an adult (cost £1 for ingredients).
