Xanadu Women’s Audition Materials How To Audition: 1) Sign up for a time on the sheet outside room 304 (Ms. Koehn’s Room). 2) Pick up and complete an Actor’s Application. Bring it to your audition. 3) Learn all of the selection in this packet a.
There will be audition help sessions to learn the cuttings. Ask Ms. Koehn for details. Audition tracks will also be posted on Ms. Koehn’s teacher page on ahs.usd385.org b. If you intend to audition for a principal role (anyone who sings or speaks individually) you will need to bring all the cuttings memorized. c. If you are auditioning for the chorus/ensemble only, you will still sing in the audition but memorization is unnecessary.

Q: What if I am not feeling well or am absent from school on the day of the audition? A: If you came to school you should come to your audition. If you miss school please call (316-218-4600 x31304) or email ([email protected]) ASAP so we can reschedule your audition.
Roles Available for Women: Kira (Clio)– The beautiful and charismatic leader of the Muses. Played by Olivia Newton John in the original movie. Australian accent. Strong singer, dancer, actor, skater. Spends virtually the whole show on skates.
Melpomene – One of the Muse Sisters. Muse of Tragedy. Comically mean and jealous of Clio. Strong singer, dancer, actor. Skates in the ending number.
Calliope – One of the Muse Sisters. Comedic confidant and conspirator of Melpomene. Muse of Epics. Strong singer, dancer, actor. Skates in the ending number.
Euterpe – One of the Muse Sisters. Muse of Music. Strong singer, dancer, actor. Skates in the ending number.
Erato – One of the Muse Sisters. Muse of Lyrics and Erotica. Strong singer, dancer, actor. Skates in the ending number.
Others - Citizens of Venice Beach, Mythical Creachers, etc. Skate in the ending number.
