Xantech Launches EX Series High-Speed HDMI Cables

BOOTH 4829 Xantech is showcasing its EX Series High-Speed HDMI Cables with X-GRIP Technology at CEDIA 2017. Xantech’s line of piano-gloss finished connectors—available in .7m, 1m, 1.5m, 2m, 3m and 4m lengths—are equipped with the brand’s innovative Xantech’s EX Series High-Speed Cable patented X-GRIP Technology to resist up to 10 pounds of pull force to keep cables securely in place. “Our X-GRIP Technology ensures that an integrator will never need to roll a truck for a loose cable again,” says Neil Ellsworth, Product Manager of New Initiatives at Core Brands. With support for all current HDMI features—including HDR, 18Gbps transfer rates, resolutions up to UHD and DCI 4K at 60 frames per second in 4:4:4 Chroma sub-sampling, Audio Return Channel, Dolby Surround, and more—Xantech’s new HDMI Cables with X-GRIP Technology are designed to surpass the needs of the most demanding system. Additionally, the new line-up features a solid aluminum internal EMI shielding jacket that encases the entire connector head overlapping the cable’s shielding well. Gold-plated contacts housed in a porcelain-shielded connector aid in rejecting stray capacitance from other interconnected components.
BOOTH 5000 Russound is including a new Wi-Fi streaming audio system amplifier in its new product previews at CEDIA 2017. The new MBX-AMP (SRP: TBD) is a single-box solution that is easy to install and configure as a streaming audio system for residential installations, while access to SiriusXM for Business makes it a smart and reliable solution in light commercial projects. Russound designed the MBX-AMP to be a decentralized, amplified streaming solution for installers who want to offer the most up-to-date streaming media options to their clients. Full control of the MBX-AMP is managed through the company’s MyRussound App as well as Russound’s XTS or XTSPlus touchscreens. The MBX-AMP offers a powerful 50W per channel at eight ohms, and is scalable for up to 32 rooms, with synchronized audio for up to 16 rooms. In addition to built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, it features voice control integration, and there will be driver support for Control4, URC and RTI controls. Aside from streaming audio from popular internet sources, the MBX-AMP will also stream from DLNA-compliant audio sources, and will support Apple AirPlay, for easy, intuitive streaming from smartphones and tablets.
Draper Spotlights FlexShade Recharge Shade BOOTH 4229 Draper is showcasing FlexShade Recharge, a quiet, battery-operated shade with rechargeable batteries. Draper’s FlexShade Recharge is ideal for flexible installations and can be installed in a variety of places, including larger window openings. Available up to 12 feet high and 12 feet wide, the FlexShade Recharge features simple installation, similar to a manual window shade. The batteries last longer and are more powerful than those in other systems, and with no external battery wand, extra space isn’t required for the batteries. With long-lasting charges, the FlexShade Recharge battery is hidden
safely inside the roller tube and can be recharged from a 110V outlet or an optional solar panel. FlexShade Recharge is quiet and provides users with a reliable, versatile motorized shade without the additional wiring. FlexShade Recharge also features several accessories, including a maintenance charger, solar panel for battery motors and cable extenders. In addition, the FlexShade Recharge app can be used to control or program the shades. Since the motor has bidirectional communication, the app even knows when it’s time to charge the battery.
