Wednesday 17th May 2017 Dear Parent/ Carer, Year 2 Trip to Chatham Dockyard Next term, Year 2 will be visiting Chatham Historic Dockyard as part of our topic ‘From A to B’. The details of the trip are: Date: Tuesday 13th June 2017 Time: Our coaches and mini-bus will be leaving school promptly at 9am. We are unable to wait for late comers so please ensure your child is in school by 8.50am at the latest. We aim to return to school by 3pm but will inform the office if we are delayed. Clothing: Children will need to wear their school uniform, sensible shoes or trainers (we will be exploring ships and climbing ladders) and a waterproof coat. Lunch: Children will need a packed lunch (no fizzy drinks, sweets or chocolate please). If you would like your child to have a school packed lunch please indicate this on the slip below. Warm weather: If we are lucky enough to have a sunny day, please make sure your child has a hat, applies sun protection lotion and brings extra to drink. Travel sickness: If your child suffers from travel sickness, please give them their medication before school to allow time for it to work and inform their teacher so they can sit close to an adult. Parent Helpers: We have a small number of places available for parents who would like to help with the trip. Please indicate if you are available on the slip below. Class teachers will contact you if your help is required before half term. If you have any questions please speak to your child’s teacher who will be happy to help.
