EXAM PERIOD ARRANGEMENTS May / June 2017 GCSE exams take place over a five week period and in order for students to remain focused and in touch with all their subjects, changes are made to the timetable. When the main exam period starts students will initially remain in lessons unless they have an exam. After half-term extra warm-up lessons will be included alongside exams. These arrangements, their own revision and preparation should allow them to achieve even better results.

General information STAFF If an exam finishes prior to, or after break, students may be given a break which will need supervising by the staff who would have been teaching them. There will also be some occasions when students will need supervision while they are waiting for warm-ups or have been given an early lunch. Information will be printed in the staff bulletin each week. STUDENTS Highlight exams, lessons and warm-ups relevant to you.
ALL REVISION AND WARM UP SESSIONS ARE HIGHLIGHTED IN YELLOW ALL EXAMS ARE HIGHLIGHTED IN BLUE During weeks 1, 2, and 3 up to the Maths exam on the Tuesday in week 4 you will be expected to attend all lessons, unless in an exam or warm up session. This applies to lessons for which you have already completed the course/exam. You will be expected to take useful revision work to that lesson. When you have an exam in the afternoon an early lunch break is planned for the whole of period 4 and the canteen will be open. Please remember that the rest of the college will have lessons as usual so you must not be on the corridors. When afternoon exams finish you can go home. If you need to wait for buses please wait in the reception area as lessons will continue for the rest of the college. Please note that SOME afternoon exams start at 1.00pm instead of the normal 1.30pm— This is to finish the exam in time for students to use the school buses to get home.
