Yorkville High School Golf Coaches: Jon Calder, Kristen Franzen, Bob Krawczyk, and varsity golfers will be hosting a week-long instructional golf camp at Parfection Park Driving Range in Yorkville and Cedardell Golf Club in Plano. Campers will spend the first 3 days at Parfection Park Driving Range in Yorkville and the final two days at Cedardell Golf Club in Plano. The focus of the first three days will be on golf course knowledge, etiquette, woods, irons, and short game. The last two days will focus on putting, chipping, and on the course play. The camp will conclude Friday with a hot dog lunch and awards. Session I: Mon-Wed 8:00-9:00 am & Thu-Fri 8:00-9:30 am - Beginning Golfers Session I: This session is for boys and girls entering grades 3-6 in the fall of 2016. This camp is designed for introducing the game of golf and building fundamental golf skills. Emphasis will be placed on golf course knowledge, etiquette, woods, irons, putting, and chipping. Awards will be given out for various contests. Session II: Mon-Wed 9-10:15 am & Thu-Fri 9-11:00 am - Advanced Golfers Session II: This session is for boys and girls entering grades 7-8 in the fall of 2016 or younger golfers who “Every Shot Counts” have some golf experience. This camp is designed for individual skill development and will emphasize course management, etiquette, woods, irons, putting, and chipping. Awards will be given out for various contests.
