Our Weekly Bible Studies and Summer Schedule: Bible studies meet at 10:30 am on Wednesday only during the summer months. Wednesday bible study will continue with the One Year Bible and all Thursday night folks are invited to join the Wednesday morning bible study over the summer. Note: Bible study will meet at 21 North Market, the former Y building. Come in the front door. Chapel Time Volunteers Needed: Chapel Time will be starting in July 13, through August 24,2014. We only have 6 Sundays in which Chapel Time will be held. Volunteers are needed to guide the children through a short lesson and prayer time. A minimum of two adults are needed for each class. Chapel Time is not held the first Sunday of the month. Sign up sheets are located on the Hawkins Room counter. Thank you! Cottage Meeting Summary Notes: Copies are available for your review and they are available on the website at: www.stjohnschurch.org. Summer Weekly Worship Schedule Note: Please be aware that beginning Thursday, June 26, weekly Thursday evening services will not be held for the remainder of the summer. Our regular schedule will resume in September 2014.

June 22: Graduation Breakfast: The Woman of St. John’s are providing a hot breakfast in celebration of our graduates and Senior Awards today at 9:00 am. Please join us to celebrate their achievements. June 22: J Time Recognition: Today we celebrate all the learning and work the children have done throughout the season! We learned about Creation, Noah, Abraham and Sarah, Moses, David the Shepherd Warrior King, and explored several of the Parables of Jesus. Thank you to all the dedicated adults, teachers, parents, and grandparents, who make this program possible for our children. Such a delight! The children, The J Time Church School Singers, will sing during the worship service today! Feel free to join right in and help us make a joyful noise to the Lord! June 22 at 4:00 pm. Rededication of the Hawkins Room: Everyone is invited to attend the Rededication of the Hawkins Room. A short service of thanksgiving will be followed by a festive reception. Join us to meet and thank the many talented people who created a beautiful space for us to use as our parish hall. June 22: Teen Bible Study: Tonight at 6:30pm at the rectory. This will be our final planning meeting before our Mission Trip in July!

Congratulations on your achievements. - We also give thanks and welcome to this world, Julian Daniel Beers, who arrived safely on June16th to his loving parents, Rebecca and Brett Beers. Contributions for the South Sudan can be made out to the Diocese of Albany. Please include a brief note indicating that the donation is for ministry in the S. Sudan, also put “South Sudan” on the memo line of your donation. To date, the Diocese has raised over $30,000 for those suffering in S. Sudan, and the Bishop is so grateful for the outpouring of support. Most importantly, pray for the missionaries who serve in the S. Sudan, and for the people of the S. Sudan. June 27: COC Baccalaureate: will be held at Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church on Friday, June 27th at 6:30pm. July 7-11th: Vacation Bible School: will be held at the Johnstown Reformed Church. For more information or to register your child, contact the Johnstown Reformed Church at: 762-7869. July 13th: Chapel Time Begins. Chapel Time is held during the 10:00 a.m. service. Adults provide guidance for the children for a short, simple “chapel” service and mini lesson. Two adults are needed for each session which are held in the Hawkins Room.
