You Look MARBLE-OUS! – Shawl/Scarf elen pass brandt, © 2013, Exclusive to: Auburn Needleworks (www.auburnneedleworks.com) 839 Lincoln Way, Auburn, CA 95603 Phone: 530. 888.0202

The shape is a slightly asymmetrical triangle that works as either a shawl or a chunky fashion scarf, and is especially striking when using striping yarn. (As shown above by the lovely Kylie…) James C. Brett – MARBLE CHUNKY (200 grams, 100% Acrylic, 341 yds.) US size 11, circular needles 24 in.. Finished size is approx. 48” long, by 23” high - with no blocking. This yarn really likes to stretch with time and use. NOTES: All rows end with one slipped stitch knitwise. All increases are taken on the Odd rows - occurring right after the first stitch. Note – I have included placing a marker on the beginning of the odd numbered rows so you can always remember where you are (and as a subtle reminder that the next stitch will be an increase.) THE PATTERN: Cast On 3 stitches (long tail style)

Set-up Row (Row 0): Knit 1 stitch, place marker, Knit 2 stitches. Odd Rows: Knit 1, slip the marker, Knit 1 front & back (the increase), knit to last stitch, slip the last stitch (do not knit it) with the yarn in front. Even Rows: Knit all stitches to the last stitch – slip that last stitch with the yarn in front. Continue as above until you (are satisfied with the size or) have about 2 rows of yarn left – cast off very loosely. Tuck in ends. You will look ‘marbelous’ in it?
