YOUNG LEADERS GRANT NOW AVAILABLE by the Municipal Engineering Foundation (NSW)
The following grant opportunity is currently on offer from the Foundation: Be sponsored to attend the IPWEA NSW State Conference 2017 and Chair a conference session The Municipal Engineering Foundation NSW is offering younger members the opportunity to take an active part in the IPWEA (NSW) State Conference 2017. This is an excellent opportunity for interested applicants to gain financial support to attend the conference to meet with conference presenters, the IPWEA Board and Executive to develop important new skills. Applications are invited from Young IPWEA (NSW) members. The grant will cover the conference registration fee to attend the IPWEA (NSW) State Conference from 8th – 10th November 2017, with the option to add-on a workshop Saturday morning. The conference will be held at Crowne Plaza Hunter Valley and we look forward to seeing you there. Applications close Friday 22nd September 2017 These scholarships are targeted at younger members and/or those in positions where their attendance is not normally supported by their Council or employer. Applicants should set out the circumstances which limit their Council’s or employer’s ability to fund their attendance at the conference, and state the reasons why the conference would be of particular benefit to them. Applicants: To be eligible for a scholarship you must:
Be a financial member of the IPWEA (NSW) Division Be employed in Local Government in NSW or engaged in providing services to Local Government in NSW Be under 35 years of age or have less than 5 years of graduate experience
