The Student Solutions Center The SSC is a one-stop resource where you can receive: – Answers to all your questions, simple or complex – Assistance with registration, records & financial aid – Personalized advice, guidance & encouragement – Referrals to a wealth of campus resources Our SSC managers are trained to approach each student holistically and individually. We anticipate issues before they arise and make sure you always have the right information to keep your college career on track. One of the most valuable connections you’ll make at NYIT, your SSC manager can: – Work with you on all aspects of your records: Financial Aid, Bursar, Registrar, Academics – Serve as your liaison and point of contact with other departments, offices, and advisors at NYIT – Meet with you during your first year to help you transition to NYIT and encourage your academic, personal, and career goal-setting – Be easily contacted by phone, Skype, email, or in person
– Clarify payment due dates – Explain liability for withdrawing and dropping courses – Assist with e-bill sign-up
– Assist with online registration and class scheduling – Clarify approvals for prerequisites, closed courses, and credit overload – Provide in-person registration for courses that require special approval – Clarify course add/drop and withdrawal policies/deadlines – Assist with transcript and diploma requests
