Take the necessary steps to get unstuck and refocused! This workshop provides insights, tools and information for taking charge, moving on and up. Presentations will include creative ways to “re-package” yourself and proven action planning sessions.  Gain insight into the importance of marketing yourself to “stay in the loop.”  Look at trends for your profession and organization in order to tailor a winning resume and exceptional interview experience.  Spend time developing the image you want to project.  Turn negative career experiences into sustainable lessons to move forward.

Drive On! Courageously Navigating Today’s Change and Challenges "The only constant is change." This phrase has more meaning now than ever before. Every day there seems to be something new to grasp and understand in how we live or work, that bring their own ‘new normal.’ Whether it’s new procedures, technology, locations or people, the need to adjust is present. As we transition through different phases of our professional journey, these too bring personal, family, or community challenges. How do we deal with all of this and find victory in change? This session will explore ways to adapt to change through self-assessment and communications skills.    

Explore perceptions of change to gain win-win situations. Understand the dynamics of change in work and life. Find the road to your momentum to keep going in the midst of challenges. Identify ways to become a change agent to support achieving your goals.

About the Speaker As Chief Inspirer, Speaker, Author, & Coach of The DPJ Training Group, Deborah L. Parker believes in taking the lessons of adversity as the route to “never count yourself out!” in her motivational platform. With a M.A. in Human Resource Development, she blends her corporate and military work experiences to provide effective and targeted learning programs for federal and private sector clients. As a conference speaker, Deborah has presented at Administrative Professionals Day events and IAAP programs. Spreading her message in print, she is the author of four books that provide thought provoking narratives and helpful insights on personal growth, leadership, careers and choices. In the community Deborah is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and the Metro DC Chapter of the American Society for Training and Development. She enjoys travel, long walks and reading.
