For the past few years the Cornell Cooperative Extension of Oneida County along with members of the Mohawk Valley Growers Association and youth organizations has undertaken the planting of the large containers surrounding the Oneida County office building.
Thank-you for agreeing to sponsor a planter located outside the Oneida County Office building.
This year we would like to involve more businesses as well as increase the youth educational aspect of the activity.
CCE staff will make arrangements to pick up your donation the first week of June
We are looking for local businesses to sponsor a planter. There are 12, 6’x6’ raised planters surrounding the building, all are in full sun. Each sponsor will provide the plants to be planted, a list of the plants as well as a planting diagram.
Deadline to register May 10
Utilizing the talents of the Oneida County Master Gardener Volunteers we hope to turn a basic community service project into a real learning experience for participating youth. With planting plan in hand the Master Gardeners will work alongside youth explaining the diagram, the plant requirements and attributes. Planter sponsors will be recognized with signs as well as brochures available at the Oneida County office building. Planting diagrams will be highlighted on the CCE of Oneida County website.
Please return this application with your business information as well as plant list and planting plan.
