Defy the odds. Conquer the world.
We know you have choices when selecting a competitive program for your child, and we are thankful you chose Zero Gravity Athletics (ZGA) this season! We have an extraordinary year planned for our athletes and are over-the-moon about meeting everyone at team selections! Please note, competitive cheer requires a significant time and financial commitment. We ask that you keep this in mind when registering your child for team selections. We form our practice teams from the athletes who attend team selections, and want to set each team up from the beginning for success! What to expect when planning to attend ZGA Team Selections: ★ Level appropriate clinics will be offered for tumbling, jumps, and stunts leading up to team selection week. ★ Team selection week will begin May 15th* and practice teams will be set by May 22nd. Each parent will receive a call after team selections have been made to inform them of which practice to attend during the remaining part of May. ★ Team selections will be very low stress and ran like a clinic. We will assess each athlete on their stamina, motions, dance, jumps, tumble, and stunting abilities. ★ The team selection schedule will be based off of age (as of August 31st, 2017) and current ability.* Experience is NOT NECESSARY to attend team selections. ★ If, for whatever reason, you’re unable to attend one of the scheduled team selection dates, please let us know so we can accommodate you. ★ A $95 registration fee will be due prior to participating in a team selection clinic. This fee will cover your team selection fee and May dues. $50 of this fee is eligible to transfer into a ZGA class credit if you choose that competitive cheer is not for you. ★ Placements to our practice teams are not considered final until choreography teams are set. *Please see pages 3 and 4 for details on day/time/cost information for clinics and team selection information.

Choreography sessions are MANDATORY to attend. Final dates will be sent out at least one month prior. All practices are considered MANDATORY one week prior to competition. Please keep this in mind when scheduling activities during the competitive season. Summer practices are semi-flexible when it comes to attendance. If you’re in town, you’re expected to be at practice. Once school begins, practices are considered mandatory unless you’ve made arrangements through your child’s coach to miss. If your child is sick (unless known to be contagious) or injured, he/she is expected to attend practice, even if they’re strictly observing.
