NOTE: The valve body section incorporating the TCC apply bore also has three other valve bores. Removal of the end plate will release the valve trains from all four bores. Recommend removing each valve train to thoroughly clean valve body after completing the reaming process. Ensure valve train components do not get mixed or misplaced during this process.
NOTE: Sonnax “F-Tool” kits designed to service a specific bore require the VB-FIX, a self-aligning valve body reaming fixture. More information and instructions can be found online at www.sonnax.com.
1. Disassembly a. Remove OE TCC apply valve and spring. b. Measure spools of OE valve as shown in main illustration. If spool diameter matches illustration, continue installation. If OE valve does not match measurements in illustration, this kit CANNOT be used. c. Discard OE valve and keep OE spring for reuse. 2. Reaming Ream TCC apply bore (for reaming instructions/ reamer care, please visit www.sonnax.com). Sonnax reaming tool kit F-85755-TL8 and VB-FIX are required for this operation. 3. Installation & Assembly a. Remove other valve trains and thoroughly clean valve bore and body, ensuring all debris is removed. b. Install OE spring into bore. c. Install Sonnax oversized TCC apply valve.
